Rhode Island: Short but Sweet Moments of Connection
Rhode Island may be small, but it’s packed with meaningful memories and special moments. This year, I had the chance to visit Providence, Newport, and reconnect with some of the people and places that shaped my past.
Providence – Back to Where It All Started
Providence holds a special place in my heart, as it’s where I went to college. It’s always a treat to return, even if only for a short time. I soaked in the familiar sights of the city, from the classic brownstones to the bustling downtown. It’s a place that always feels like home, even when I’m only there for a brief visit.
Newport – Reconnecting with Friends and Nature
My time in Newport was a perfect mix of relaxation and connection. I stayed at the beautiful Gardiner House and spent time catching up with friends. The highlight of my Newport visit was a sunrise on the water, with stunning views of the bridge and lighthouse. The peaceful atmosphere was a perfect start to the day, offering a sense of calm and beauty that Newport is known for.
A Beautiful Wedding in Mt. Hope Bay
One of the standout moments of my time in Rhode Island was attending the wedding of two dear friends in Mt. Hope Bay. The setting was picturesque, with the water serving as the perfect backdrop for their celebration. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and the kind of memories that make Rhode Island so special.
Holiday Cheer in Newport – November Vibes
I returned to Newport in November for some holiday cheer, where the town was starting to take on a festive spirit. The crisp air, the twinkling lights, and the warmth of good company made for the perfect way to close out the year’s Rhode Island adventures. It was a peaceful and joyful visit, reminding me of the simple pleasures of the season.
Rhode Island may be small, but the memories I made there this year were big—filled with friends, family, and moments of beauty. It’s a state that will always have a special place in my heart, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
